Las Cruces is a small, traditional Mexican resort on 10,000 acres with over seven miles of private, rugged coastline on the Sea of Cortez. It is completely isolated, with the closest town of La Paz a half hour drive away. It sits safely behind a 24-hour guarded gate, allowing only staff and guests to enter. The vibe is classy casual, and the rooms have no phones, no TVs, no locks, and no WIFI, however, there is WIFI in the common area. Plugs are the same as USA. It is not the Four Seasons and has no interest in changing, which is one of the reasons we love it! In fact, very little has changed since it opened over 70 years ago. Some of the original staff is still around, and many of the current staff are offspring of the originals. They will become like family to you!
Meals are wonderful, and everything can be eaten and drunk with no worries! Breakfast and lunch are served when you wish within a window of time in the dining room, and dinner will be all together under the stars. There are no menus for breakfast ~ you can order what ever you'd like! Lunches are a set menu, and dinners are a set multi-course feast!
There are mucho things to do at Las Cruces! Take your pick from lounging by the pool, shuffleboard, snorkeling in the warm, clear, sea life-abundant Sea of Cortez, sitting on the beach, horseback riding, hiking, paddle tennis / pickle ball, billiards, ping pong, tetherball, putting, driving golf balls, fishing, croquet, volleyball, horse shoes, tennis, hoops, dominoes, chess, backgammon, hunting for sea glass on Shell Beach, checking out Desi Arnaz's guitar-shaped pool, visiting the little gift shop, getting a massage, exploring the greenhouse garden and goat herd, SUP, kayaking, trap/skeet shooting, and hobnobbing with bartenders Juan and Ricardo :)
